BassGuitari
Some of the titles in my text label collection have endlabels that are half-peeling off, and they're driving me nuts. Basically I want to remove them and reglue them. Any advice on the best way to do this? -Geph
candiru
I've used the 3M photo mounting spray with good results.
Tsukasa
Be careful with that stuff! Make sure that you spread newspapers and protect everything! I got some on my kitchen floor by accident once, When it dried it left this really nasty texture that felt like sandpaper. It took forever to get it off. Adrian M
Ah. I was about to ask this same question too. For some odd reason two of my carts simply had their end labels fall off last week whilst in storage. It's been somewhat humid lately, but why now all of a sudden? sku_u
I've generally removed any dirt and excess glue that was there before, then applied a very thin layer of Mod Podge onto the label with a brush then gently reattached the label.

bjk7382
I have sucessfully used superglue to reattach peeling labels. I didn't do it to any rare carts, since I didn't know the prolonged effects it would have on the label. It doesn't show thru after you do it, but it may show thru later. lhfreak
I use superglue as well.......But a VERY small amount......a thin line across is all you need.
sku_u
The only problem with super glue is that it might not be feasible to use a heat gun to remove the label if you ever have to get to the PCB.

If you're talking about the cart itself, I use Goof Off. As for ink on labels, there's no sure fire method.
Tsukasa
I have used a regular old gluestick to reattach labels, but it is hard to get them off again if you need to.

+Nathan Strum
I'd suggest using Bestine to remove any adhesive residue and clean the back of the old label, then 3M Super 77 spary adhesive to reapply it. The same warning applies to this stuff - put down a newspaper before spraying the back of the label. (However, Bestine will remove any overspray if you miss.) Print your own until you find a suitable replacement cart. Photo paper is pretty good for this.
