nandystam
Do they exist? From having a peek into the Astrocade, the RF modulator connects to the mainboard via an edge connector, so I imagine if you knew what signals were on what tracks you could do an a/v mod of some kind? As for the Channel F i'd assume its possible as well? Would much prefer TV sound than the on-board beeper Cheers
Nukey Shay
Yes, it should be. AFAIK, RF modulator circuitry exists in the consoles...so it's just a matter of bypassing it. Though the sound for the Fairchild wouldn't sound "better"...it would still be just a beep - or rather, a click at variable frequencies (since that's all the program is producing). If more were added to the program, more advanced sounds are possible (consider AppleII games)...but the Fairchild is even more constrictive than the 2600. I realise it'd be the same sound on TV as the Chanel F beeper, maybe 'convenient' wouldve been a better word Cheers
