SS
If I did go to the CinciClassic it might give me the opportunity to drive through Springfield. I was born there but haven't been back since about 1985. It would be interesting to give the town a look over. I doubt that there would be much that I would be able to recognize anymore. bjk7382
This sounds like a fun show and I would definitely try to get off of work to be there.
Rob Mitchell
It is a great time .. because everyone is so reverent about video games. I remember the 1998 show. I got a chance to crash at two guys' apartment who were organizing it. Only 25 people attended but we had a blast over the weekend. One guy thought his Chase the Chuckwagon had been stolen .. but it showed up in one of his boxes. We talked about how trusting everyone was and how respectful everyone is about eachother's stuff. So they decided to hold Cinciclassic 1999 in a big room at their office. About 50 people showed up. Again a great experience. 2001 was at the Fair Place mall (or whatever it is called). I got there just in time to help set up on Friday night. Later that evening we had a blast sitting around a huge table at Ruby Tuesdays and drinking beer. The people I have met are all top notch. It is worth the eight hour drive from Atlanta. If only they could find a place to have it again. Hell I would go for a dry barn in the middle of nowhere! StanJr
did anyone find out who is organizing it this year? Is it still the same guys from previous years?
Atari Dogs
The 2002 CinciClassic was one of the last places I want to before I unfortunately had to move to Columbus. Definately would go back, especially since I had lived in Forest Park. Yes the Forest part of Forest Fair. Anyway, does the game store in TriCounty Mall still carry Atari games? IceCold
Is there any news on this? Another Cinciclassic would be SO sweet. I checked the website, but there hasn't been any news in awhile.
MattG/Snyper2099
We are planning for a spring show. Believe it or not, we want to have the show more than anyone. I know we keep pushing it back but how long did it take for Halo 2 to come out??? Early spring. Remember, good things come to those who wait. Big Player
This is good news. Just make sure not to pick the same weekend as PC6.

Zwackery
After reading about the show for a few years on post-event internet reports, I finally made it in 2002 and had an enjoyable time, plus I finally went over 300 Atari 2600 carts. I have been waiting for another CinciClassic, hopefully 2005 will be the year.

Rob Mitchell
Any news yet on if the CinciClassic will be back? Well last week I heard that there are leads on two possible sites. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
shep
Man Cinicinatti is so much closer than Philly...that would be awesome!
Big Player
Sorry shep, you can't go until you learn how to properly spell the city. Three n's and only one t. It is good to hear there is some progress. I hope the timeframe is still in the spring? It's been over a year since my last classic gaming show. I'm going through withdrawal right now. Still eight months till Philly? Arrgh!
shep
Wow...I did butcher that...didn't even realize it. My bad.
jeepnut24
Now that Philly is in the fall and I won't be able to make it... Is there any word on Cinnciclassic??? Only 3.5 hours and we will still be in the area???
Mental Vortex
Less than a two hour drive for me if this actually happens, so count me in as well. It'd be nice to go to a classic gaming show that's nearby.
glitch
It's less than 20min for me The group has been fairly quite for a while now so I'm not sure if the new places have panned out or not. I believe Rob was one of the last ones to post there.
Carey85
I think they should go the route they went last time and lease a couple empty storefronts in a shopping mall like they did in 02. There was all kinds of older people came in and bought vintage systems after seeing them again and getting that youth feeling again. I would like to see CinciClassic 05 go down. One plus to visiting Cincinnati is that there's all kinds of stuff to do on the Kentucky side of the river. Also, Cincy chili is teh roxxor. Also, I'd much rather drive just down the road rather than to Milwaukee for MidwestClassic.
Rob Mitchell
Also, Cincy chili is teh roxxor. I get that chili every time that I am in Cincy! Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA Edited April 18, 2005 by Rob Mitchell
