chrisbid
amazing work, i will surely pick up a copy when this is finished, along with Space Invaders. i would also LOVE one of those opcode joysticks you hint at on your site
Dav
I agree, if the demo runs good enough I wouldn't worry about a random table for ms pac. Iirc they did something to the AI but nothing major like in pacman plus. I don't think the good players use patterns to play it. There's a ld a,r for the fruit bonus after a certain level. I still meet people who swear they can make the banana's come up more often if they do certian tricks. You'll find the gcc programmers are kind of sloppy. A lot more bugs than namco. I'm glad I can help, Any specific questions I"ll be glad to answer. I"m going through a pacman phase again so I might actually remember some of it. I've been trying to hack pacman into pacmania and super pacman for my multi pac. It's actually going pretty well considering what I've got to work with. +Trebor
Again, gotta check-in on this one. Any updates? The Space Invaders port is incredible and this Pac-Man collection looks even better. -Trebor
opcode
Well, I completed all 3 games (Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus and Ms Pac-Man) but right now they are 3 separated cartridges. I am still waiting for my bank switched PCB before I can merge them in a single cartridge. BTW, I noticed there was a bug in my demo Pac-Man. A last minute change before releasing the original demo ended breaking a ghost movement routine and the ghosts weren't following the arcade patterns anymore. It's now fixed. Funny no one noticed it. Just check the autoplay demo during attract mode and you will see it is now arcade perfect again. Eduardo pacdemo2.zip
+Trebor
Excellent news, Opcode! However, perhaps a result of the missed 'bug' with the Pac-Man demo is because some (like myself), never new there was *any* downloads available for this Pac-Man collection. The demo is nothing short of spectacular. Is there a Ms. Pac-Man demo available or/and Pac-Man Plus? I appreciate all your hard work and effort and for replying to my questions. Your a class act Regards, Trebor

Your a class act Thanks for all kind words. I worked hard to make this collection as worthwhile as possible, and hopefully all CV fans will be able to enjoy it soon. So far the only demo available is the one I posted above. It's more like a sneak preview, since I believe the complete game would be better appreciated in a real CV. Personally I am against public beta testing since by the time the game is released in cartridge format people are already tired of it. Eventually I can make the binary available though, a few months after the official release, just like I did with SIC and Sky Jaguar. But first I want people to experience it in the real thing. Jess Ragan
No, no! Don't put Midway on the cartridge! Namco created the series... it was just Midway that took all the credit for their work. Sure, without Midway, there would never have been Ms. Pac-Man, but they were also responsible for disasters like Professor Pac-Man and Baby Pac-Man as well. Atariboy2600
I understand your feeling that Namco should have there names on the game box and title cuase they made them but you got to remember this that they are making a re-creation of how both games should had look if it came out in that time frame and Midway was it for making both arcades, plus dont forget that Atari had a huge copyright thing on them for any home post games as well
Paul Slocum
I saw this at VGExpo and it's amazing. How did you get the sound so perfect? And is there a warp mode? Warp mode on arcade machines here seems to be the standard. -paul

Warp mode on arcade machines here seems to be the standard. -paul 916296[/snapback] Hi Paul! Glad that you enjoyed! About the sounds, it was easy: all sound routines were carefully ported . The only thing missing are waveforms, which the CV sound IC isn't able to produce (only square waves). I wasn't hoping that anyone would be able to hear the sounds in that noisy enviroment. In fact Ms Pac-Man sounds aren't 100% done yet. A few sounds were from Pac-Man... Warp mode? Like "warp speed" mode? If so, yep, it is there, but you will need to find how to unlock it... kaz321123
I know this topic hasn't been posted on since um, August 22, 2005... And I know there is the AWESOME Pac-man Collection (which I own and love), which includes Ms. Pac-man on it. But I'm curious if a dedicated separate Ms. Pac-Man will still be released later... Even if the gameplay were identical to the pac-man collection version, I think it would be neat to see a dedicated Ms. Pac-Man cartridge (with full box and manual etc.) Perhaps now that the super game module is released, maybe you would consider releasing an 'enhanced' ms. pac-man, or even include ms pac-man as a 'pack-in' game with a future Colecovision 2? I'd love to hear a status update, Eduardo Edited April 26, 2013 by kaz321123

Eduardo Well, since this thread was already necro-bumped, I'm not going to be bashful about asking... Did you keep "warp speed" mode in the final build, Eduardo? And if so, has anyone discovered is key-activation sequence?
