Dragnerok X
Due to the fact I previously didnt want to admit the fact im 11. You shouldn't have lied to us like that. It spawns distrust, which is worse than what you were fearing a lie would protect you from. I definetly agree. I guess, in terms, if you don't want someone to judge you about your age (or anything else for that matter), then either don't make a big deal about it or just don't mention it. Still, with what little we get of that there's one thing I like about this board. It tends to be a very clean, friendly, well managed place. BTW: I think I have a few pictures floating around these forums which may give some insight of my age if one's willing to look. Bucket Brigadier
I'm 21, a little on the late side for the VCS, but in fact, it was my first system, and I do have memories of getting wrecked in Combat by my older brother. The VCS still remains my favorite system. Edited February 7, 2007 by Bucket Brigadier

ewing92
Im 11 years old and it all started when I bought an Atari FlashBack at Wal-Mart.I was interested in its games and thats what sent me on eBay to start my hunt.I collect Atari 2600,5200,7800,Intellivision,Coleco,and dedicated systems.I have 145 Atari 2600 games,7 Atari 2600 consoles,28 joysticks,2 sets of paddles, and an arcade machine! ......wow you are rich, or atleast alot richer than i am..........lucky bastard..... here is my story, i am 14 years old, i will be 15 in august, starting gaming at the age of 4, SEGA GENESIS BABY! I sucked so bad at sonic 2(my first game) that i could never get past the first boss for the longest time, well 10 years later, i still havent beaten sonic 2, the last boss is a bitch! At this point, i don't want to beat sonic 2, i want to beat it the day before i day, to end my video game career...yeah, that would be the coolest thing ever.Anyways, 10 years later, i have about 18 different systems, and about 275 games. I've just been buying/playing the current generation games, until last summer when i bought my vader off ebay, and then that made me get into the field of collecting, and that's when i found this fine site. And here i am now, and it is cold... Ahh....Shinobi III for genesis, so many memories. . Edited February 8, 2007 by ewing92

Mindcircus
I'll be 29 in two weeks. Atari was my first VGS, but I barely remember those days. My family bought a C64 by the time I was 7 or 8. I finally got back into Atari when I was 20 (and Atari stuff could be had for cheap, anywhere, 10 years ago).

MickG
I'll be 40 in December... I restarted collecting 2600 items only a few moths ago. At Ebay I shot a good old 6-switch in "as new" condition for about €50 (approx. $55), coming with 1 just as good joystick and an original Pac Man cartridge with picture label. I also shot some more cartridges like Space Invaders, Circus Atari, Donkey Kong, Football and Combat. Unfortunately I crashed the reset switch function somehow by plugging a digital Competition Pro joystick of my old Commodore Amiga into the 2600er. Ever since I did that to play Space Invaders together with a friend the reset switch refused to work anymore! So I just bought another 2600er to play Space Invaders (that needs the reset switch to start playing). It's a 4-switch "Darth Vader" in quite poor condition (at least it was cheap: < €10). But the video quality of the Darth Vader is crap on a new TV set, compared to the good old 6-switch. So I'm looking for somebody to replace the reset switch of the great 6-switch with the one from the Darth Vader. Anyway - I started my first collection in 1982 with another 6-switch. I personally owned about 20 cartridges til the late 80's and as we founded a club of 2600 owners in 1982 we had most of the most popular games to share and play together (must have been about 100 different cartridges). Shame I sold my first 2600 collection in the early 90's as I changed to playing computer games only further on.
