Atari Rescue Group
I've got a Vectrex that works for a while, then often times blanks out. Sometimes I have to rest it for long periods of time before it fires up again. What's wrong with it and can it be healed from this illness? Do you hear game sounds after the screen blanks out? Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
bjk7382
I also just got a Vectrex and it seems to have a small "vibration" problem on some of the lines on the bottom right quarter of the screen. I ran the test cart off of the multi cart and it said "Adjust Dac Offset" but I have no idea how to do that. Any pointers would be great. Any pointers would be great. It's not so much a directive, as it is the proper test # for performing that procedure. "By the book", a DAC offset requires an oscilloscope. The procedure is listed in the service manual, available in PDF from various websites.

"Adjust Dac Offset" does indeed require an oscilloscope. Enjoy the Buzz .. turn up the volume and play! Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, Ga
