Mindfield Posted December 15, 2004 Share Posted December 15, 2004 This is about as close to a related forum as I can get around here, so I'll give it a shot: I recently managed to score a nice Portfolio bundle -- PoFo, parallel interface, 64k card, AC, etc. All boxed. Now my problem is transferring files to the Port from the PC using the parallel cable. The cable I got with it uses the old-school edge connector parallel cable, so I figured I could just use an old 25-pin male-to-male connector to hook it up to my PC. Problem is though, ft.com (the file transfer proggy) won't see my Port and vice-versa when I fire it up from XP. Is there any more modern software for transferring files between the Port and the PC? I've tried googling up some, but haven't hit any jackpots yet. Perhaps the cable I'm using is no good? It's just yer average printer cable so I can't see why not.
