I'm looking forward to the event. I've been to the last 3 and had a blast each time.

With the added space this year the event can only be better.

I call dibs on the first Neo-Geo console I see. I've struck out every year so far on getting one at the show. I will not be denied this year.

I really hope we have the chance to soon. I've been pining to go to the UK (hell to go anywhere outside the US, but +particularly+ the UK) since I was about 9 years old. The only thing stopping us this year is puttng siding on the house, but once that's done who's to say what we'll do? I'm sure Chris could put us up, but I wonder if he could put up with us uncouth yanks for a whole week. :lolblue:

I was wondering if there was going to be a show this year, I sure will try to make this one, so far I have only been to the #2 Philly show and loved it, but this time, if I can make it, I will be coming by my self.

How could I miss this post?!?! :lust:

Shame on me!

*clears throat* Anyway, has anyone heard any updates? We've got some double games we could sell/trade and we've tossed around setting up a DDR thing w/ Keilbaca. I just hope we could afford the rates for a table since we don't have a lot and we aren't a big company.

I really want to get there this year, haven't been to one yet!

Does anyone know what type of mass transit would be best for a NYC/Northern Jersey'er?

I'm not familiar with PA trains/buses so any help would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to finally meeting a lot of you and seeing those I already know! :)

You can probably take Amtrak down into Philly at the 30th Street Station(it's actually a pretty neat place to visit on it's own)

at 30th St, take the R5 train towards Doylestown and get off at the Fort Washington station. From here, I'll have to do more research but there's a bus line from there to the Convention Center..

Septa's website (South Eastern Pa Transit Authority) if you want to poke around and find a route..

Best thing i can add about the septa bus system is that you may want to look at an unlimited weekend pass or tokens. Or just spend the money for the weekly pass depending on how long you are going to be here.

Do some research because our bus fairs just went up a couple of months ago.

While I would LOVE to go to PC6 this year, I have plenty of doubts. First of all, there will likely be a "blackout" on taking time off at work that week. Also, I do not know how to get to Philly and I'm definitely not doing it all by myself.

If anyone in the New England area wants to go and is willing to meet me at a halfway point or something to get to PC6, Let me know in PM. I could consider it but it would involve a lot of careful planning.

I'm hoping that *someone* would come forward at least.

Those selling stuff at tables - Is it too soon to put my wish list together?

or should I wait until we're closer to the show date to see who will have what?

My #1 item will be a Vectrex in good, clean condition with a handful of games..

Maybe we could have a separate thread of who is wanting what, and then perhaps it would be easier to find specific items?

?...What are the chances that there will be a vender selling C64 monitors...?

:ponder:

I'd love to pick one up...I threw my old one out a long time ago & have never fogiven myself for it!

I'll probably have a large number of Commodore 1702 monitors at the show, but I don't plan on selling any. Might be time to start a "Wanted at vgXpo Philly!" thread so people can post their Wants and hopefully others can supply them at the show. I have lots of used stuff I plan on bringing myself (might rent an extra few tables adjacent to the AA booth), so I might be able to satisfy some of those needs.

What hotel is the closest/best to stay at? I remember reading somewhere that most people are staying at the Holiday Inn...right?

Oh and Curt - are you going to have Flasback 2's for sale at the show? Might have to pick one up :)

Take the PATH To Newark's Penn Station. There take the NJ Transit (Northeast Corridor) to Philadelphia. It's a lot cheap than Amtrak.

I'd check and see if Atariage will be selling them, right now I'm trying to see about having FB2 joysticks available through Atariage to sell at the show, hopefully they'll make it in time for the show and I'll bring them down with me and drop them off at Alberts area.

I am thinking about going to the phillyclassic show. I have heard a lot about it over the years. I've been to the cge one on the west coast and that was a blast. what is this atari museum display? are there any pictures of it online? has it been to other shows like cge? and does anyone know of digital press being at phillyclassic this year? they had a great booth at cge and I think they used to do the philly show but I don't see anything on the website about it.

I have decided not to support the show this year. After i had couple thousand games at Texas show and have not even got an email or call from the "the show" about Philly. They did not promote the Texas show and I only hope for eveyones sake they are working on this show beside just using the name in hopes that everyone comes.
