Wntermute
How feasible would it be to use a Jaguar controller with a 5200? I have a 5200 in storage because I could never get the controllers to work completely right. IIRC, there are enough buttons on the Jaguar controller to match the 5200's stick. joeybastard
It's possible but you won't be getting the full functionality because the 5200 stick is analog and the jag pad is digital. It would work fine for most games.
panda_racer
someone modded a jag pad for colecovision (i don't rember who exactly), so it would work for the 5200

Furthermore, the 5200 directionals are analog, not digital. This is the sticky point, as it involves the creation of a masterplay/redemption/whatever circuit, and it's impossible to make a digital device 100% compatible with all 5200 games. Bryan
It's possible, also a lot of work! Man, it would seem easier to make a little microcontroller circuit to read the Jag-pad and feed it into the 5200. -Bry
SteveW
Actually, it would be nice to use a Jaguar controller, but replace the D-pad with a centering analog stick, kind of like the Dreamcast's small size analog mini-stick.

Interestingly enough, I've used A800 Dreamcast before precisely because I felt a given game was better suited to the DC pad than the 5200 controller. chris.heff
I can get you great controllers for you that are guaranteed to work and work a very long time. I don't believe that you can use Jaguar controllers. Email me at chris.heff@prodigy.net if interested. How feasible would it be to use a Jaguar controller with a 5200?
