Ross PK
Post a link in here so we can have a look. I'd post a link but since my PC broke down I haven't been able to buy anything for ages, and now there's nothing on my ebay history. But I've got my eyes on a coupla games right now though. I was recently going to buy a scart lead that plugs into the monitor socket on most of the Atari 8-bit computers, since the modulator (is that the right thing?) has aged on mine and gives out a bit of fuzzy picture. He only accepts paypal though.

Wrathchild
Is there any way you could dump the Spy Strikes Back! / Spy's Demise combo for us? The disk is protected every 18th sector with phantom sectors from #36 to 180. On side one every other sector (181 onwards) is bad/missing/not formatted. Here's the ATRs anyway - I could have a go at the protection - I guess that's already been done though?! Regards, Mark spy_games.zip
Osbo
last couple of things... I've got an SIO2PC cable (works like a champ), and I made a deal for a C64 with this guy, and he mailed it home in the original box with tape and the post office stamps all over the box at least the C64 works fine... Wrathchild
I've stripped out a PRO image and this has slightly different data in those sectors. But the loader does the same thing in an emulator, that is to stick on sector 36. I'll post those tonight when back at home. As for checking out the real thing, I'll have to get an A8 down from the loft to do that (where's the blush/embarrassed smily?)

ijor
Perhaps slightly off-topic, but somebody knows who are the "heavy" A8 buyers at Ebay? rareatari,doc-in-a-box,mshortland,play2day, etc. The only ones that seem to be publicly know are peterolafson and and elit. Wrathchild
Had in on watch for a few days now... hope of winning it low though Also saw their 'maniac mansion' for the C64 - but the price of that shot up quickly - would be fun to make such an 'engine' for the A8. I started reverse engineering it - but its very intense code upon first look - it really needs a C64 expert's input. I think I'll make it a New Year's resolution to try and collaborate on some C64->A8 ports - then I might get further with some of the started projects, e.g. Bard's Tales, World Class Leaderboard. All the best, Mark

carmel_andrews
XC12's and their cousins XC11's are commonplace in the UK (I used to own an xc12 and 2 xc11s) Attn 'Wrathchild'... how's about giving us an a8 conv. of io or denaris or rtype and lastly 'Turrican'
Xebec's Demise
How about AR: The City rom? That sounds like a lot of work! Is Wrathchild the only converter around here? Wrathchild, you should set up a website with donation meter bar graphs for each proposed project and as people donate for each different project, work on the project that has the most donations. I know the major motivation, is the challenge and accomplishing something for the 8-bit community, but a little appreciation your way might make the prospects a little more interesting or at least assign a priority to them.
