Dear friend Rom,

These images had come of a CD (see below), not from site. The CD does not have more images to add here, don't worry.

Really when I saw that cartridge I remembered my friend Rom Hunter, I thought about making the same.

I obtained an image of a cartridge more rare to find !!!

 Atarimania manufactured cartridges with the personalized image of our friend!

:D

LOL

I don't know what to say anymore.

BTW: I've completed the total Atari list today:

http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft.php?MEN...n_sauver=Search

It still needs some polishing, but I'm already very glad with it.

It's by far the most complete Atari (re)release list in the world.

Thanks to Philflound and Christophero!

Without their help this list could never have been possible.

Came across a website that listed Boing as being an Atari development under the CX number CX26128. Was this Boing the same one that First Star released or was it something entirely different and if it was the First Star one then why was Atari playing around with it? Does anyone know? ;)

From Tempest's site:

During the revival years (86-90), Atari planned to re-release Boing under their own label as they had done with several Coleco games. However for unknown reasons, Atari never got around to re-releasing it. Recently however a Boing prototype with an Atari lab label has been found, thus proving that Atari had actually obtained the original code from First Star.

Very interesting. I need to look in on his site more often. I am amazed that Atari wanted to rerelease such an obscure title under their own red label. Was Boing that well known in the States? Several sites once had it listed as a holy grail game. I could understand why they went after the coleco games but First Star was a nobody company that only had the one game to their name. The mystery continues ;)

For the 2600, maybe :ponder:

Well I am a bit hazy on First Star games for other systems. Care to enlighten me as to their other achievements? ;)

Boulder Dash.

One of the very few originally home computer games that made it to the arcades.

And that's one hell of an achievement.

And don't forget the Spy vs. Spy series too.

Great two-player stuff.

Astro Chase was (mainly due to its intro) a real hype when it came out.

And my personal favourite: Jim Nangano's Flip & Flop.

I liked it even better than Q*Bert.

You know I must be one fo the few people in the world who never played Boulder Dash in any shape or form :? Sad I know. I never knew that they were responsible for the excellent Spy Vs Spy games. You truly do live and learn ;)

Fox,

It's really brave of you to admit that.

You are very kind to say that but sadly it remains true ;)

I have at least a dozen of those, maybe more. Some day... some day... !

Cheers,

Marco

As I suspected all along. You know you could make it easier for us and just tell us what you know old friend. I still believe that you possess a Go Go Home Monster somewhere in your security vault. Set it free and know that you did us all a good deed ;)
