zanza
Anybody already tries to use Mame on Dreamcast ?? I know it exists some kinda program (MAMED) ? But I was wondering if anybody from AtariAge already tries ? As I own maybe around 600 Mame roms files, I would loveto find an app which I could burn with my whole collection and play on DC as well
liquid_sky
I woulsdnt waste the cd-r. It wont play most of your roms.. roms that it will load will run slow and choppy, and control will be a nightmare. I would wait a little while and see if they make any updates to it. Most games are unplayablly slow on it. You can download MAMEDC if you wanna play a few games that are emulated well, rather than use a guessing system on what you can play with mamed. Mamed runs games 80-100% full speed. I like it much better :From consolevision: MAMEDC is a port of the Multi-Arcade emulator MAME for Dreamcast. Released around the same time as MAMED!DC was, the main difference is that this emulator stresses quality over quantity. While MAMED!DC is able to technically load (not play) nearly every arcade ROM, MAMEDC is specifically programmed to run only around 20 but with better results. If you're wanting an emulator to play the following ROMs, MAMEDC is recommended: PacMan Arkanoid Super Qix (bootleg) Psychic5 Pang Super Pang Ghosts'n Goblins Commando BombJack Bubble Bobble Contra Double Dragon Ikari Warriors Gauntlet Gauntlet II 1941 Double Dragon II Ms. Pacman Galaga 88 Games. zanza
To Albert: No they run well on it, but my Macintosh is in my desk room and I'll love to play on my "Museum" TV in my "Museum room, not only my old systems but also MAME games and that's why I'll like to put them on a Dreamcast CD
