Osbo Posted April 9, 2002 Share Posted April 9, 2002 Hi, I've recently download Stella and Z26 into my new computer, but I'm having a sound problem, it's like a 'rrrrrrrrrrrrr' in the background when I'm playing. Nukey Shay Posted April 10, 2002 Share Posted April 10, 2002 Could be that your soundcard has problems operating under Dos (sounds like you're not alone)...or that native emulators have a problem with your settings. Try disabling things like 3d sound, etc...or using emulator builds made to run under Windows only. Mindfield Posted April 11, 2002 Share Posted April 11, 2002 I disabled that on-board sound card on my mobo (same one as you.) One thing to try though, is to go into your mixer and reduce bass, wave, and master volume to no more than 75%. My SoundBlaster Live suffers from severe attenuation and distortion in several emulators (most notably those that use Ron Fries' Pokey sound routine) if my settings are any higher than that.
