KAZ
I've tried several Atari 5200 emulators. Jum's and VSS are the main ones. I just don't have much luck with the 800xl emulator thing. I have to say that playing on those emulators, while cool in their own right, only made me want to get the Atari 5200 even more. VSS Centipede for example is kinda like the real thing, but just doesn't make the grade. Jum's Kangaroo hardly functioned at all. There are graphic glitches in pacman and ms pacman for VSS especially during intermissions. Just to say that I couldn't make an emulator if I had my whole life to work on it, but I'm convinced that the only way to experience the Atari 5200 at least, is to play the real thing. On the other hand, take Z26 the Atari 2600 emulator. That thing plays great! Since my Atari 2600 hasn't come yet, I guess I don't have the real thing to compare it to. Does anyone have a criticism of Z26 where the real thing plays much better just like I mentioned with the Atari 5200?
