yoras
Okay, I've now fried my first FB2. Is was my second mod. I must have done something cause now it doesn't even respond when I try to power up. I think I did this when my J9 lead pulled off from the pcb taking the solder plate with it. I tried to scratch down to the run to solder in a new connection but prolly scratched the wrong one. I guess my question would be, is it possible to order just the pcb for the fb2? No case, no joysticks, no power adapter, no buttons or springs, just the pcb? Edited October 25, 2005 by yoras
8bitclassics
Wow, sorry to hear that. $30 shot in the !@#$. Anyway, I highly doubt you would be able to order just the PCB, since they aren't even fully available to the public yet and you voided the warranty opening it. Possibly one of the developers might have an extra or it might be possible to repair. But doubt you would be able to get one from Atari direct anyway. Curt Vendel
Replacement parts are not available seperately, sorry Yoras. Curt Okay, I've now fried my first FB2. Is was my second mod. Clint Thompson
When I first read this post... I was thinking in terms of "frying" not actually killing the board Oh well.... that sucks man
8bitclassics
They are not fully available? How are people getting them then? 953983[/snapback] Umm, you see them here and there, not everybody including Wal-marts website, EBGames, Gamestop, and two distributors that I deal with have them. Sounds like Target is finally getting it's shipment out, but that I believe will go thru quickly. My latest date is today, and haven't been updated yet on delivery. And neither was Wal-Marts site, still says Coming Soon. Expecting tomorrow to change to 10/31 or something similar. Corey
supercat
Replacement parts are not available seperately, sorry Yoras. On the other hand, you've now got two nice spare joysticks and also a spare wall wart. Just think of the controllers as being $15 each, and they include a free videogame system. So, you fried the videogame system but still have the controllers.
Drewman21
Want to sell the power brick and case? Let me know. Drewman21
Bruce Tomlin
Replacement parts are $30, available at a Wal-Mart near you. :-) You can always use the case for a case mod. It's too small for mini-ITX, but I'm sure people can think of something to put in it.
yoras
Cosmetically the case mod looks fantastic. At least in my opinion. I'm gonna have to get another fb2 and gut it to put in my modded case. How about a schematic? maybe i can fix my fried board with a schematic... Curt??
