MegaManFan
Quick question - is this game compatible with the system listed? Some people may know from the 2600 forum I posted about a "great call" I received where I got a bunch of free Atari games, which I assumed were for a console but which turned out to be a 8-bit. I got a 130XE from Mindfield and I've been able to make all the games I got for free work with a little cleaning, EXCEPT this one. D'oh! Rybags
It worked fine every time on my 800XL, although I have a cracked disk binary file, not the cartridge.
birdie3
The XE line (minus the XEGS) seems to have a lousy cartridge port and some games need to be positioned "just so" in order ot get them to work. Try putting the cart in and pulling it out just a tiny bit before you power up. Also, try putting the cart in with the cartridge port facing upwards to see if it is a gravitational issue. I'll be really bummed if Gyruss is the only game I got I can't make work, since it's the one I was probably looking forward to playing most. *heh*

twh/f2
One of my 130XE's has a cartidge port issue - The Atarimax flash carts dont work and neither does Battlezone I also have a 130XE like this!! My other 2 works fine with Atarimax carts. Weird. this is not only an issue with the 130XE I also found 800XE to be unstable in this matter. Also intersting that my M.U.L.E. cart Version does not work on my XE Game System but on all other 8bits I have including the 800XE. This is a bit frustrating. But all in all my experience is that this only applies to new type carts like Atarimax, the USB Cart or some certain SuperCarts. I never had problems with classic game carts like defender, pac-man and such. \twh
tjlazer
What MULE cart do you have? Atarimax flash version? Also the Atari 800XE is pretty much a 65XE/130XE computer Edited December 9, 2006 by tjlazer
