Cybergoth
Hi there! What does this say: "Ninjakun Majou no Bouken"? Greetings, Manuel
Bakasama
Where's the kanji? That just makes it harder to translate. The only parts I get are "ninjakun"=Mr. Ninja. Majou might mean Demon woman.
uosipa llamxew
From The Arcade History Database: The title of this game translates from Japanese as 'Ninja-kun Adventure at Demon Castle'. Cybergoth
From The Arcade History Database: The title of this game translates from Japanese as 'Ninja-kun Adventure at Demon Castle'. 1018790 So it says "Mr. Ninjas Adventure at Demon Castle"? Hm... the sequel seems to be called Ninja Kid II...
Bakasama
Where's the kanji? What is a kanji? 1018806 They're Chinese characters used in the Japanese writing system.

Cybergoth
BTW: Did you ever play the game? Would make a marvellous 2600 version, no?
uosipa llamxew
BTW: Did you ever play the game? Would make a marvellous 2600 version, no? 1018826 I love the games, although I think some are turned off by the jumpy scroll movement. I found them on a couple of my Famicom multicarts and have been a fan ever since. I was so obsessed, I kept this as my avatar longer than any other I've had. Cybergoth
Ah, now I finally get that avatar Hm... the NES versions must be the VS. game or NKII though, as the version I played only scrolls vertical
uosipa llamxew
I believe there was even a port or two for the Gameboy(?) If you haven't seen it, I think Squashed may be the last of the Ninja Kun series, but I hope to be proven wrong. It plays quite a bit differently, but it's still quite fun. uosipa llamxew
I discovered and played Super Ninja Kun for Super Famicom today. Unlike Squashed, it looks and feels more like the arcade games. http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/42975/sn...inja-Kun-J.html Edit: Wow, this is kinda hard... but fun! There are new weapons and lots of different moves to learn. It's kinda hard when you can't read the language. It's just too bad the music sucks so bad. uosipa llamxew
I have been compiling a list of Ninja Kun games with screenshots here. I thought someone might be interested. If I've missed anything, or anyone has any more information on the series, please PM me and I'll add it to the page. :-) *warning* - the html is pretty basic (read: ugly) and the page is graphic heavy, so expect it to load slow. BTW: Did you ever play the game? Would make a marvellous 2600 version, no? Have you thought any more about a 2600 port? The 2600 needs a good ninja game! Cheers! Cybergoth
Cool page, thanks for sharing! Are those Ninjas somehow based on a Manga or Anime? Have you thought any more about a 2600 port? The 2600 needs a good ninja game! Definitely! Well, so much to do so little time... still have Colony 7 and Park Patrol (NES) to finish first
