Lynx Sound & Music programming

Hi there, I'm relatively new to the Lynx world but have basic programming skills & I am a big fan of music. After hearing alot of compositions on the gameboy I was wondering how I would go about composing on the Lynx?

 

I have the ABCmusic package and this is very helpful however I'm looking to create my own sounds sfx for use in these compositions & from what I gather ABCmusic is geared more towards musical notes. How would I go about creating these effects?

 

I was also wondering if theres some way to play ABC music through my lynx without having to burn them to a cartridge all the time (I'm getting a bit sick of the distortion of sounds on Handy!), maybe throught the use of some sort of interface cable?

 

any help on this would be greatly appreciated
