NE146
Someone posted this at DP and I had to share it here. Too funny! http://www.platypuscomix.net/videos/hotstuff.html

Gregory DG
Funny. Someone ought to give that link to HSW and see if he remembers that guy.
JagFan422
E.T. was not as bad as it's made out to be. But still, it's pretty funny.
Atari-Jess
ET is an amazing game for the time frame HSW was given. The graphics are pretty good but its just that game is overwhelmingly frustrating in its difficulty and punishments. That is what makes it a poor game. Vic George 2K3
E.T. is a "classic" -- just not in the way that it was intended.

Sayton
He said it himself when he talked how he doesn't know much about games. Anywhoways, awesome video! Makes me wish I was my age I am now and could relive the late 70's and all the 80's. Man, that would be awesome. And yes, ET is a classic. Whether people think it's a dud or not, is it not one of the most talked about Atari games ever?

NE146
Hey I like E.T. as much as the next guy.. I just thought the video was nifty. Nice arcade shots too!
shadow460
I like ET, but I nearly spat lasagna all over the screen when he said "Sword Quest". Swordquest a classic...now that is funny. Obviously whoever won that talisman didn't think it was worth keeping, let alone his EarthWorld cartridge. *wonders if they were melted own at the same time*. I have a stack of games I commonly play sitting near my game systems. It includes both HSC games (if I have the carts), and a dozen or so other titles. E.T. has been in that stack for a while, next to Perfect Dark. Edited April 13, 2006 by shadow460

What the heck are Perfect Dark (and from the 100 Greatest Games thread) and Meteoroid? Can't find them anywhere. EDIT: Nevermind. Found them. Bryan
That is the best and worst thing I've ever seen. Was that guy some sort of hunchback? -Bry I like ET, but I nearly spat lasagna all over the screen when he said "Sword Quest". And the weird thing is he wasn't even eating lasagna. I've got so many games that I've lost all discretion of what systems they're on. I might have even tried to play Bomberman on an Intellivision at one point, and posted the reults in the 7800 forum--I just don't know. I really wish Meteoroid had been able to be released, though. It's good as it is (Suicide Mission), but if it were Asteroids-simple, that would have rocked.

It's good as it is (Suicide Mission), but if it were Asteroids-simple, that would have rocked. That's okay, Shadow. You're not the only one that's mentioned a game in the threads that sent me to the archives to find it. Perfect Dark really threw me though, because I'm not at all familiar with the newer system's games. Meteoroid was actually a tough one too. It's not in any of the databases or even on Tempest's site, but then I remembered there was a proto on the Supercharger disc by that name. I had forgotten about it because I'm not particularly impressed with Starpath's dotted vector-like graphics on that game and I like Asteroid's much better. NE146... Sorry I hijacked your thread. I was just a little dumbfounded when Shadow mentioned yet another game I wasn't familiar with. I did enjoy the E.T. video. I forward a lot of the crazy stuff you guys post in these threads to my friends and coworkers. We all need a good laugh now and then. Thanks! ataridude81
it was a classic all right a CLASSIC FRUSTRATION. but for the small amount of time they gave warshaw it wasn't to bad. darn wish they gave more time that's why the 83 crash happened alot of games where bad because the where rushed. i remember nes games canceled if the set date was not met and where tested before going on sale to be sure it was good enough to sell. atari needed a american version of darn can't spell his name the super mario brothers and zelda creator.
