Clear case Atari 2600 games for auction

Hi Folks- unfortunately, some pressing family financial needs are forcing me to part with more of my game collection. A few years ago I had a fellow collector make a few repro carts for me in cool, clear cases. I believe I paid around $30 for EACH at that time, and they were for my own personal use and collection. I did not intend to resell them, but, like I said, I need the cash right now, so I am forced to part with them. The games are Adventure, Yar's Revenge, Crystal Castles, and Space Invaders. I listed them on eBay, in case you're interested:

CPU posted them already. :D Link

But they are so pretty they are worth metioning twice :) I got my eye on the space invaders but I'm sure some N00b is gonna bid a small fortune on it AKA I don't stand a chance in hell of getting it...lol.. :D

Well, that's good! I was worried that CPU would be upset that I listed them. I wouldn't want to sell them, but, as I said before, I need the cash right now Thanks

  • 14 years later...

So I am bumping this post after 14 years.

I believe I am the current new owner of these carts. They popped up on ebay not too far from me in a town about 2 hours away.

The were sold in a complete lot as the seller said that is how he acquired them and he didn't want to break them up, which I was also happy about.

I tried to get more details from the guy about how he acquired them he just kept repeating "I got them from a guy about 20-30 years ago."

Zooming in on the pics on the auction I could see the date was 2003 and I could see @CPUWIZ's name on the labels. Some searching popped up this thread and I assumed these had to be the same carts since they were the complete set of four.

Anyway these are back in the hands of an Atari Age member after 14ish years and thought I would share my find.

Why don’t any of these guys live two hours away from me? ?

Excellent pickup. Congrats!

I say that all the time @sramirez2008 but this time it was me. I didn't drive to get them, they shipped them but I was shocked when I saw what stupid little town they were in. ;)

Interesting coincidence as I am nearly finished with a new mold for Atari 7800 shells and should be able to supply shells to people that need them shortly in clear and other colors as well.  Attached a sample off the new mold below, so if more people are interested in clear shelled games I can certainly help out with the shell side.
