CincYnoTi
I am not misdirecting anything, I am correcting you. Besides, I don't want more people who don't know anything about ROM's/OTP's etc. to post stupid topics like "How can I re-program my BOMB cart, CincYnoTi said you could?". You have not corrected anything I said. Actually, you have confirmed what I said: that an NTSC image can be burned (or re-burned) onto an eprom. So when people ask questions or make a post about making a NTSC Bomb cart, they can quote you: Yes, if you have access to expensive equipment, you could make it look like the cart came from the factory that way. Question for you would be, why go through this huge effort on making a perfect fake (especially a BOMB cart)? For a $150 profit? You should really ask someone that has the equipment and the knowledge that question. Maybe Hozer or one of the other on-line services that will burn an image to an eprom on demand could tell you what it costs to make an eprom. Then again, why does a guy create a computer virus for $0 profit...maybe because he gets a thrill out of it.
Buyatari
So your theory is that these guys bid more than they are willing to spend and then hope it goes for a lower ammount. I can't speak for them but thats even crazier then the ending bid itself. I don't play that game. I bid what I can afford to spend at the time based on what I feel its worth to me. I honestly expected not to win but was willing to spend 1200 if I was lucky enough to come out on top. I was fully expecting to spend the whole 1200 if I did end up as high bidder. But Adam bid $1200 on it himself though. Another overly high bid, but his idea of an overly high bid. I'm not saying I'm absolutely correct in my theory, but it is very possible. I've done the same thing in the past, but I made sure my "insurance bid" wasn't going to burn me if the plan backfired
Buyatari
Would you just look at all this healthy debate we have here. Nothing like the almight dollar to bring us all together as a family.
+Wonder007
Man, I really thought I was going to win this......oh well, I'm sure another one will pop up.... Anybody knows who is this guy that won, never heard of him??? And, I had to bid an hour earlier because I had to go to a meeting at work this morning.... I am speechless.... screamin1
So the cart by its lonesome goes for $100 - $150, which makes a styrofoam box, a glossy tape around it and instructions worth over $2,000. If anyone is interested I have some styrofoam I could sell a little bit cheaper. Makes me happy that I have been collecting boxed games for a long time. Just don't have quite the rarities that command $1,000 or more. Some over $500 though!

Dino
Another fine example of sniping not mattering on high dollar items. I believe the point was that you wont get it any cheaper by sniping and this auction is proof. I bet that winner never thought he'd be paying over $2k for this. This auction is exactly why you SHOULDNT snipe on the higher priced items. You might just win

I'll put a business proposition to you CPU: lets get together burn a whole lot of eproms of all the R10s and 9s and pass them off as ROMs. Its clear that there 's plenty of people that dont know the difference
Trade-N-Games
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This son of a bitch went for over $2200.00 and Wonder was going to go as high as $2100.00 YOU GUYS ARE NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whats up Ataripitbull you said you would not bid over $200 on games? I think people might be waiting a long time for another one to be put up on Ebay however this could make them come out of the woodwork. I am sure there will be a little info on what it sold for in the Video game collector. I was going to place a bid in the mid 1000's but I have been finishing my boxed NES collection and Boxed Colecovision over the last few months so I am low on cash and I was crazy last night and paid alot for a activision skiing but the snipe worked for me on that one.
