Filmjerk
Circumstances have led me to the necessity of selling my 2600 collection. I dislike the current auction setup of eBay and Yahoo, so I was wondering what the masses might suggest. Thank you in advance. (FYI: In addition to the console and all controllers in working order, I have about 130 games, 15 catalogs, 40 instruction books and several boxes.) Rhindle The Red
Well, apart from online auctions you could try the newsgroups (make sure they allow ads) or online classifieds. The best non-internet way I know of is to find someone at work/school/etc. who might like it and sell it to them. That way you know who you're dealing with and so do they. This is how I deal most of the systems I sell. Of course for me this has a double usefulness. I get rid of a system I don't need and I gain a customer who will want more games and accesories later on (they always do).
Clam
Good suggestions so far, or try any of the other auction sites (dovebid.com, etc.) If you're feeling charitable you could always donate your gear to a nonprofit on www.missionfish.com. You'll get a tax deduction for your gift, and the nonprofit will get money by selling your Atari.
