jwierer
I've played a lot of Beef Drop and it was getting kind of easy so I started hacking it up. I think I've done enough to qualify for a sequal at this point. Here's what's different: 1. 6 new levels (see screen shots of 1-5) 2. Each level will be randomly selected for "mirroring" resulting in a flipped level making patterns more difficult. 3. Changed location of pepper bonuses on most levels 4. Changled locations of burger drop locations 5. Changed location of enemies on some levels This is just a demo so after the 6th level it will reset to the title screen. I know in some cases I need to have better enemy and pepper bonus locations. If there is enough interest I may finish this up and add some more stuff. Also, the original Beef drop had 6 levels, but Ken programmed it for 10 so it could be expanded to do more than 6. Finally for those of you that knew the easter egg codes for cheating they have been changed! I've also been thinking of creating a Windows application for level design, but don't quite have the time right now. This is my first extensive hack so enjoy! Jeff Surprised only two people have downloaded it so far. I have talked and helped him out some and as long as people are not selling anything I do not really mind. I am also hoping to maybe borrow a screen or two for the extra screens in the 7800 version since I have one of the extra screens I need to replace, at least. Observations. Demo mode is broke since he cannot walk all of the way to the left side of the screen (not sure where the enemies are either). Looks like high scores 4 and 5 are too close together. jwierer
Ok I removed the game over after the 6th level. This one has 7 levels enabled. After the 7th board is cleared the game will then randomly select the next board. I think this makes the game less predictable. The 7th level is one of the original hidden levels in Beef Drop. In the future I'll probably replace it with something original. -Jeff bdplus.bin

I use Atari800Win Plus 4.1. I believe the official 4.0 distribution is here, but there is an update to 4.1 here. It's a bit old, but it's always worked for me. -Jeff

It's probably because you didn't download the BIOS roms and boot it into a 5200. -Jeff

jwierer
Fun!! If this makes it to cart Count me in I don't think there was ever enough interest for carts. If you want though you can use this to hack up either the 5200 or 7800 Beef Drop roms. -Jeff
