liveinabin
I'm desperate to get hold of an Atari Pong system but I live in the UK. I've never seen a PAL model on ebay and I wonder if anyone knows if it was ever released here?
Gunstar
Chances are that it was never released in PAL format as Atari was a much smaller company at the time, and I don't think they expanded out of the US until the 2600 became such a hit here in the states and then the rest of the world. By that time Pong and Video Pinball and other stand alone consoles had been discontinued and their games put out for the 2600. I could be wrong though... liveinabin
makes sense, Atari didn't have the distribution backing of Warner until the 2600 did they? Anyway, at that time, all of us in Britain were still running about in the fog with our whips and tops. Anyone else able to add anything? I'd really like to know for sure. liveinabin
Ohhhh yeah! It's games like Keystone Kapers that really drive home how much better videogames were then - your parameters and tasks are clearly defined, and theres just an outstanding sense of fun hehe - opened a can of worms there I think
