i picked this system up from a thrift store today, this is one ugly machine.

 

anyway, it works to a degree, it was well used. i have got all the games on the included cartridge to work. the problem is that it's supposed to be in color. when turned on it flickers in color then goes black and white (when the channel selector is on channel 3, channel 3 displays in b&w, and channel 4 shows the game in color, but is scrolling. and just the opposite when the channel selector in on channel 4.).

 

is it pointless to think this is fixable? any suggestions on possible causes?
