JF@CHILE
Hello friends, Last weekend I read about Batari and I started programming my first game: "ESTAR GUARS" (sounds like "Star Wars" in Spanish). it's a work in progress (v0.1) and I look forward to improve it this weekend(music and background are my priorities). These are some screenshots: Press fire to start (my last name is Roco hehehe) Kill the enemies before time out. Every time you kill an enemy you got your score at then bottom of the screen. You loose when you run out of time. Download the game from here. I hope you enjoy the game!!! I would like to thank you Fred "Batari" Quimby for Batari. I never tought I would be able to program a game for Atari 2600 before. Regards from Chile!!! +atari2600land
It's nice to see new people posting games here. Welcome aboard! A few suggestions, IMHO: #1: Make the missile bigger. It seems like sometimes when you shoot, you barely miss the thing you're shooting at. #2: Implement a level system, like starting on level 1 and when you shoot it a certain amount of times, move to the next level and increase the enemy's movement, and #3: With 0.99c, you can make multi-colored sprites. It's very nice now, though. I'd like to hear some music and see an improved background, too. JF@CHILE
Hi atari2600land, Thank you for your feedback and congratulations for your own games... great work!!! I made a new version: - The missile0 is bigger. Missileo disappears when you shoot your enemy. - I will try to implement a level system this weekend: I was thinking about two levels: space and inside the deathstar. - I will implement a multicolored background when I get 0.99c. I already asked Mr. Batari. - Some changes: - Star Wars-like music at the initial and game over screens. - Enemy now moves vertically as well. -Changed initial screen. Now it displays "Estar Guars" Some screenshots: Download the v0.2 here. JF@CHILE
Hello, First of all, I would like to thank atari2600land for your his support. Thanks gambler172, it is great you tested it!! I couldn't implement the level system, because I was testing 0.99c and the new features led me to program "Las Vizcachas 2006", a racing game I will post soon. This is the v0.3 of "Estar Guars". The main difference is that in this version I implemented multicolored playground. Hope you enjoy it. You can download Estar Guars v0.3 from here. Some screenshots.
