8th lutz
http://www.gameinformer.com/NR/exeres/E162...E0463B90D89.htm The controller's name is Sixaxis and costs 5,000 yen($43.00) and includes a USB cable for charging purposes and wired play. The peripherals annouced were a Blu-ray/DVD movie remote, and a memory card adaptor that will allow gamers to transfer save files from PS2 and PS1 games to the PS3. The Remotes costs 3,600 yen ($31) and the Memory card adaptor costs 1,500 yen ($13). The peripherals were announced by sony of Japan, and all the peripherals will be available for the Japanese Launch. I posted this due to the fact the peripherals should be released in America for the Launch, and give an idea of the price of the peripherals announced. So, wireless + motion sensor + rechargable battery and cord for about $40. The same package for the X360 costs $70 (wireless controller and recharge pack). If vibration fuctions cost $30 extra, then let's get rid of them as quickly as possible! Although, I would certainly prefer a wired controller. 2) Memory Card adaptor = Sounds good. I was wondering when they'd announce the filling of that particular little perhipheral niche.

Gabriel
Although, I would certainly prefer a wired controller. Well, you can just leave the cable plugged in, if you like. But is the controller signal transmitted over the wire, or just the juice? Seriously, wireless controllers DO NOT work for me. Whether it's my apartment or ambient radiation or whatever, they just don't work worth a damn. Regular TV remotes and such work fine, but then again, I'm not inputing dragon punches on them, and I expect to have to point them dead on at the TV for them to work. How do you know if Bluetooth won't work in your house? Do you have other Bluetooth enabled devices, that don't work? My guess is that the signal is on the wire as well, either way. jedijeff
The memory card thing is ok, but I would much rather have a usb to PS/PS2 controller adapter, so I could use all my current guitars, drums, steering wheels and dance pads.
eric_ruck
I would be surprised if Bluetooth doesn't work. I've had my share of problems with WiFi and 2.4GHz phones, but Bluetooth always seems to work perfectly. In addition to headsets and mice, I also developed some Bluetooth interface devices (sorry, can't be specific) and they all worked fine. IronMongeR
At least you can transfer PS2 saves to PS3. The 360 has no easy way of transferring old xbox saves.
