Acording to this article: Sony said that it's possible the company might not make the shipping targets the company had previously laid out due to Blu-ray drive shortages. The latest projection was Sony's latest projections set the number of consoles shipped by the end of the year at 2 million for North America and Japan, and 6 million by March 2007.
