Grizaptimus
I dont know if this will be of interest to anyone? I remember hearing that the custom chips for all the old 8-Bit's are getting quite rare. While I was searching E-Bay I found the following http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=003 I'm guessing that the people who can use these already know about them... but hey
jaybird3rd
Thanks for the heads up! Out of all the chips in the 8-bit computers, the POKEY is probably the most plentiful (with the possible exception of the CPU). As the auction states, POKEY was used in all the 8-bit computers, in coin-operated arcades, and also in video game cartridges for the Atari 7800. That actually isn't a bad price for POKEY chips, especially new ones.

Gunstar
I don't know about their "rarity," which depends on the demand as well as the supply. What I do know is that the major online Atari dealers (All in AA links section) seem to have plenty and most sell for about $10 each give or take $5.
