Mark2008
I bought this off e-bay, it is Atari related Because it turns out I love desoldering chips and socketing them. One of my favorite hobbies for now. But, I am also learning to stop buying everything off e-bay. I bought a 929D V desoldering iron for $7 off Ali express, and it works well too. I bought all the parts for 20 A8picocarts off pcbway as well. I didn't get those to be a pico cart, I bought them to be a little computer that interfaces with the Atari, have in mind a hobby project to do with it. Now that I finally figured out soldering, I'm going to take a course on electrical engineering soon... I suppose that is a bucket list item. There is desoldering boards/chips and then there is desoldering Atari XE boards/chips.

It really works well for desoldering vintage boards without lifting traces or damaging pads.
