Mendon
I started a thread in the Nintendo Wii section regarding my dislike for Nintendo's policy regarding purchased DLC's and having to swap your system out. (I won't repeat my complaint here.. please see my thread "What Nintendo Says About VC Games" in the Wii section). Since I own a Xbox 360 I know what the MS policy is regarding DLC's and having to swap your console out while retaining those DLC's. I own a Wii and I now know Nintendo's policy regarding DLC's and having to swap your console out while retaining DLC's. But what is Sony's policy regarding games you purchase online and what happens to your access to them should you buy an in-store extended warranty and swap out a defective console? Are you able to retain your access to DLC's? Is it a hassle to retain your DLC's if you swap out your original console for a different one? Suppose you own a 20gb system, buy several games, but then purchase a 60gb system and sell your 20gb one.... what happens to the DLC's you purchased on the 20gb system? Is there a way to move them over to your new system or do you lose access to them since you now own a different console? Thanks in advance for any info! JB
Suppose you own a 20gb system, buy several games, but then purchase a 60gb system and sell your 20gb one.... what happens... You get mocked vigorously, since Sony made the hard drive both standard and user-upgradeable, so you could easily stuff your own 60GB drive in for a fraction of the cost. Or 600GB, for that matter. I hear you.. I didn't post clearly... sigh... So you upgrade to a 60gb system FOR THE WI-FI AND CARD SLOTS (not the extra hard drive space). What happens to the DLC's that you purchased while owning a 20gb system; do you keep them because they are tied to a PS3 account you make or do you lose them because they are tied to a console? Or a combination of the above? Or something else? Mendon Edited December 12, 2006 by Mendon
