ClubNinja
I figured I'd just start documenting this here. I've begun another crazy project to put the NinjaCade over the top in awesomeness. Here are a couple of "so far" teaser shots: The mini vids are unrelated.
chadtower
The minivids, do, however, contribute to the over the top awesomeness.
ClubNinja
Very true. Someday, I'll have to shake some nifty trade in your direction to add that Galaxian to the lineup.
chadtower
That will be tough. I was playing it yesterday. The stickers have actiplaque on them and I'm tempted to scan and print some new ones.
ClubNinja
A little more work:
chadtower
That's some funky refraction going on through the plexi (or is it lexan?).
ClubNinja
I was planning on Lexan, but it was cost prohibitive enough to avoid. I'm using simple acrylic sheets at 72" by 36", cut into 6" strips. They are mounted on the brackets with velcro to allow easy pull-down for cleaning and provide a little extra moon-like bounce as pressure is applied across the plastic. chadtower
Things that come with a little extra moon-like bounce are always just that much better. Now all you need is a looped recording of the monorail song from the Simpsons.

Yeah you don't need shelving to be bulletproof.
ClubNinja
Right, so what this is all turning out to be is a support system for a Lego Space Monorail to run around the ceiling of the NinjaCade (well, part of the 'Cade at least). The monorail itself runs back and forth in a horseshoe around about 25% of the place. There is also an additional area for expansion/moon bases. I took a quick shot of the main "monorail station": More to come. Also, if you happen to have any Space themed Legos from the 80s (or early 90s), let me know. I'd be thrilled to add more vehicles, space guys, or spare parts.
TheDentist
The legos are great! I'm very jealous
