Outlaw

RJP1138

Here is my take on sprucing up David Crane's 1978 classic Outlaw. Unlike my first impressions of this game, it is not a shameless clone of Gunfight, but rather a clone that offers some keen but subtle differences. For example, being unable to move immediately after firing, or having the game end at 10 hits as opposed to trying to score as high as possible within a prest time limit. The graphics are raw, and the sounds are sparse, but the gameplay is intact. It took me a long time and several failed attempts at adding additional graphics until I finally settled on the images and the layout. For a simple game like Outlaw, where there is no perspective to speak of, simple is best.
