New update in the Archives section of the Atari Museum:

 

The source code to enable 7800 games to use the High Score Cartridge.

Some additional 7800 documentation has been posted also. Here is a complete list of what Curt has now updated (I am about to post this news to the front page):

The 5200-7800 schematics are in horrible shape, whomever made the copy made is so out of focus is nearly impossible to read as-is, I am going to attempt to do a 1200dpi scan of it really close up and see if it can be sharpened and cleaned up, perhaps made into a more readable doc.

 

I would be VERY interested in seeing some hardware hacker perform the CX-22 Patch and 7800-TLL design of the Atari 7800 Trakball proto.

Without having a closer look at the Schematics: Aren't the CX-80 Trak-Balls like this? There are some CX-80s that are still compatible with the CX-22, some have some modification done to them that make them compatible with the ST mouse, and some are compatible with the ST mouse without any modification. So, could it be that the design for the 7800 Trak-Ball later was used for the ST mouse? That would explain why Atari build a second 2600-compatible Trak-Ball without having any games making use of either design.
