ataridave
Through a trade with someone on another site, I got Encounter At L-5. So, I plugged some paddle controllers, which looked like they were in good shape. The fire button works, but the paddle won't move the ship. (And I've tried both paddles.) Is it a problem with the paddle controller or the game? Because I tried using my modded NES controller with the game, and same thing-the ship wouldn't move; just fire. Unfortunately I have no other paddle 2600 games to try this out on.
candiru
Paddles should work 100% with the 7800. It's probably just the set you have. That's bad luck though, in my experiences the paddles are pretty robust, aside from needing cleaned now and then.
godzillajoe
The short answer is "anything that works on the 2600 SHOULD work on the 7800" Common things like joysticks and paddles and 99.9% of the games SHOULD as well
ataridave
Ok, thanks! I'll have to get a new set, then.

Video
They will work on the 7800 to play 2600 games. But I don't think there are any 7800 games to use them. That could be a cool homebrew Idea...
