Sony Laptop looks a bit Atari XL like

I saw this picture of a new Sony Laptop. The syle reminds me of the XL Series.

Indeed.... At the first look I thought it's an 800XL...somehow.

Ooooh, I love the 800XL and this does remind me of it. I wish it could run OSX. It would be an abomination to run Windows on an XL-look computer. (Linux is not much of a thrill, either)

 

I was thinking of making a custom XL-look case for my Amiga 500. I was going to call it the 500XL.

It certainly does remind me of the 800XL (which was my first personal computer). Too bad it's a Sony laptop.

Yeah, it certainly does, it's got the two tone colours in the right place and then identical keys running down the side.

 

Guess you just can't fault a good design, espiecially if it's still being used now 20 or something years later.

Yup. Take away the screen and it'd look just like an XL...

 

What is it with Sony copying Atari's designs? Many people feel they copied Atari's prototype Falcon Microbox for the PlayStation 2.
