Martin72
I have some XEX and EXE files (games). With the Atari800WinPlus i can play this games, but i like to play this games with my Atari 800XL. How can i convert this files to .ATR format so i can use APE to play the games with my Atari computer? Or is there a possibility to load the XEX/EXE direct with APE (with SIO2PC cable)to the Atari? jaybird3rd
You can use a feature of APE called "PC Mirror," which lists all the files in a given directory on the PC in a menu screen on the Atari. You would mount the PC Mirror in the first simulated Atari drive, point it to whatever directory your XEX/EXE files are in, boot the Atari, and select the file you want from the list. Beetle
Owner of SIO2SD interfaces have it easier: they can boot atari executables direct from SD cards... You can also look for the program "makeATR", which lets you open/create ATR files and then extract files out or add files into it. Martin72
Thank you for the information, i will try PC mirror of APE and look for 'makeATR'. I found another tool: arc64. It is not easy to use but it works!
