Back in 1983(?) the arcade game Pole Position was converted over to the Vectrex. How did/does it stack-up? Heres a little review for everyone to find out how it turned out......

Pole Position for the Vectrex was a nice surprise for me.Despite the fact that the arcade version was not a vector graphics game this version turned out to be good.

The controls for Pole Position are great, your car steers effortlessly and responds well to your button pushes.

Sounds are good too, everything from the engine noise of your race car to the music in the game.

Graphics-wise its the Vectrex,it does its best to re-create the arcade game(which again was not a vector graphics game)and it comes off well.

Mountains in the background,Road signs on the roadside, and your race car all look good but the other race cars in the game didnt fair so well as they are pretty boxy in shape but really cant everything, can you?

So the bottom line with Pole Position for the Vectrex is its good! Sounds,Graphics, and Controls are well done and there really is nothing to dislike here so am giving it the "Thumbs Up!". :)
