walter_J64bit
Ok I've just put my copy of Jump-Man to some .cas files but win800+ crashes ever time I use a .cas file. Edited May 29, 2007 by walter_J64bit
www.atarimania.com
Walter, Sorry I didn't reply but I can't send PM's as they keep crashing my computer... Your CAS files don't seem to be valid as I get a boot error... Please consider re-recording the game if you can with just the two sides of the tape and not as four separate parts. Thanks! -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
Urchlay
Looks like Jumpman_cas/Cas_A/Jumpman_s1_main_pro_cas_A.CAS didn't get ripped correctly. cassio reports: *** Warning: block 14 has non-standard length 130 *** Warning: block 16 has non-standard length 130 *** Warning: block 21 has non-standard length 129 *** Warning: block 62 has non-standard length 130 *** Warning: block 79 has non-standard length 130 *** Warning: block 99 has non-standard length 131 *** Warning: block 106 has non-standard length 131 *** Warning: block 136 has non-standard length 130 *** Warning: block 175 has non-standard length 129 ...and booting it on my 1200XL, it stops at block 14 and says TAPE ERROR. Try loading the .wav file in some .wav editor and apply a bandpass filter, about 3800-6200Hz. Also, you might try increasing the volume a bit, while you're editing it... then try wav2cas again. If that doesn't help, try recording a new .wav file at a higher volume. The other .cas files you posted have similar problems. You can install cassio on your machine and use it to verify your .cas files, which should make life easier for you since you can't test them in the emulator. http://www.urchlay.com/cassio/
walter_J64bit
Please consider re-recording the game if you can with just the two sides of the tape and not as four separate parts. EPYX made Jump-Man this way so when your @ the option screen you can select your level and pop in the tape with that level (tape flipping) I'll make a copy of the manual so you can see. try recording a new .wav file at a higher volume. I'll have to make new wave files the sound editor I have won't let me boos the volume with files I've all ready made.
deathtrappomegranate
I've just received another copy of Jumpman on cassette. Until now, I've only converted the main program. Walter_J is right, it's on 4 sides in total. I'll have another try with the new copy.
Ross PK
I'm willing to try as well as I have a copy of this game, if you still can't get it working. There's also a couple of leaflets with the game which I haven't seen on Atarimania that I could scan in if they're interested. www.atarimania.com
Walter, my bad, I didn't know it came on two tapes... We'll also be processing the scans sent by some of the people here very shortly. Thanks for your help and sorry for the delay! -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

www.atarimania.com
Great job! Do you think you could check the two tape sides with the beginner and intermediate levels again? Thing is you have to disable the SIO patch on emulators for the additional data to load. The fourth side of the tape (advanced difficulty) loads fine with SIO on, which is kind of weird... -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

walter_J64bit
Ok, I've just figured out how boot a .cas file no Atari800winplus Now I see that tape with the beginner tries to load, there might be a good chance that 800winplus is not be compatible with (tape flipping) I'm going to make new beginner and intermediate files to see if that works.
