With fire button do you use?

I ask this out of general curiousity, but say someone wanted to wire in a 2600 joystick port on a 5200 controller, which fire button would be missed THE LEAST.

You are missing a choice - the answer is any button that WORKS!

yeah i 2nd that. I played the 5200 with a controller that had only 1 fire button working, bottom left for a long time.

For what it's worth, I tend to swap buttons depending on the game. I find I use different controller grips for different games.

But I tend towards top fire.

 

 

 

If there's room, I'd mount the DB9 on the top edge of the controller, not the side. Park it under start.

I like using the top right on the right hand side of the controller and the bottom left on the left handed side.

 

But,i agree with everyone else here in the fact i will use any button that will work.
