Punisher5.0
Hey Genki, How far have you gotten on your LED backlight replacement? You have not updated us for quite some time.
Harry_Dodgson
I was comparing the GBA screen to the Lynx screen this weekend. It might be possible to use the GBA Afterburner (placed backwards on the other side of the LCD) to light up a Lynx display. The unit is a bit smaller though and might not light up the edges of the display. You would also have to increase the current limit resistor to compensate for the higher voltage of the Lynx. Punisher5.0
Well, you see that light takes up a lot of power, so it wouldnt be worth it to put that in. That is why he switched to LED because they are very energy effiecient and bright! Hopefully he will finish this project because I would love to do it myself without messing up my LYNX. Harry_Dodgson
If "that light" refers to the afterburner, you are 100% wrong. The Afterburner product is LED based and does not require a substantial amount of power. I installed one in my GBA and it makes it playable - almost as good as a Lynx display.
