+Propane13
I remember finding the text in there, when I used to use a program to convert code to bitmaps: http://www.digitpress.com/eastereggs/78asteroids.htm It's very, very cool that you found out how to trigger it. There was one for Joust too: http://www.digitpress.com/eastereggs/78joust.htm "Pete 'Kid' Gaston" is hidden in there. No idea how to trigger it. Awesome find! -John
PacManPlus
The funny thing about the Asteroids Easter Egg, is that in an later version of the ROM, the message actually says "Dave S. says Hi!" I wonder if the Joust message is triggered in a similar fashion... >:-) Edited July 8, 2007 by PacManPlus

Even though the message was documented on thier site, the method of getting it isnt' so you may qualify for the prize money. Dan

+Propane13
Doesn't work on Joust. But, the Asteroids trick itself is really cool to watch. -John

Chris-in-NJ
Just did it too. Remember, it's the right joystick that does it. Nothing's needed in the left.
