deathtrappomegranate
http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=111472 Looks like a promo copy, but it's the only one ever to show up. So far...
Chrodegang
Interesting find!
+davidcalgary29
But IS that an 800 cart? It looks...odd, and we don't have any internal pics, which is odd considering that the seller apparently knows about the rarity of the item. I wonder if the winner just spent $717 on a box and cart shell?
deathtrappomegranate
I believe that the high bidder uses the same user id on the forum at Atarimania, and here at AA, so, hopefully, we will find out more in due course.
+davidcalgary29
I hope so; that sure looks like a 2600 cart with a 400/800/1200 "special" label slapped on to it. It's also surprising, given the planned date of release, that it doesn't list 1400/1450XLD compatibility. In fact, it looks like something like those mock-ups that companies would make for tradeshows to "prove" the existence of pending game releases. Still, $717 for a game with no screenshots or provenance = / We shall see! Edited August 8, 2007 by davidcalgary29
