thevnaguy
Thats a Taiwan made light sixer. The early units were made in Sunnyvale, CA. Also could be identified by the very thick sides (visually) and by weight. (also called a heavy sixer). Note the very thick plastic casing all the way around. rafasilva
Thanks a lot is this sytem from the same year that the heavy sixer?
Uzumaki
Not likely. The light 6 switch model was made from 1978-ish and on a few years when it was replaced by a 4 switch model. The original heavy model dominated 1977 IIRC
A.J. Franzman
The early units were made in Sunnyvale, CA. Also could be identified by the very thick sides (visually) and by weight. (also called a heavy sixer). (Sigh.) Once again, not all Heavy Sixers were made in Sunnyvale. Not all Light Sixers were made in Taiwan. The "Sunnyvale" thing is a myth, unfortunately perpetuated by this very website. The only possible grain of truth I can speculate about it, would be that the very first production consoles were most likely made in Sunnyvale. But aside from the text on the label on the bottom, there's no significant difference between a Taiwan Heavy Sixer and a Sunnyvale Heavy Sixer. ninermaniac
1978 light sixer. I have one. Green label gives it away. 77 models didn't reach eight digits to my knowledge.
