Am I wrong or in the Atari 8-bit family Wiki page

the important fact that Atari 8-bit computer (in 1979) had a palette of *128 colors* is missing?

 

If I'm right someone who speaks a better English than me please update the page!

Machines with CTIA graphic chip (1979-1981) had a palette of 128 colors.

The ones with GTIA graphic chip (introduced in late 1981) had a palette of 256 colors.

Many contemporary machines (like Apple II or Commodore PET) were monochromatic and even the best-selling single personal computer model of all time, the Commodore 64 (1982), had a palette of only 16 colors.

Well, you have 128 "paletted" colours.

 

But, then you have the 256 colour ability as well.

 

And, if we get totally anal about it...

 

due to the PAL bug, we only have 120 and 240.
