video game addict
My copy of No Escape is also missing the joystick Mail-In offer. I do have two MIB Zircon joysticks though. This is a nice set of games, I think the two R9s should have been sold individually though. I'd price those at $500 each give or take, and the other 171 @ $10-20 each as a group. Any BIN over $5k I would have shot down (as a bidder), under that and it would have been feasible IMHO. I'm interested to see where this one ends. alinkens
Whatever you do, don't take a side offer! You would not believe the amount of those I get. I did put a buy it now, but someone bid on it pretty quick.. I hate when I am bidding on an item and it mysteriously ends so I would not end an auction early, when people offer a "side offer" I always tell them to bid what they were willing to pay as a side offer and hopefully they win.. What was the buy it now? The buy it now was $3000...
alinkens
Take any side offers you want, make the most money, be totally mercenary, end the auction when you want to, don't worry about honor or love or the respect of atari agers. It's YOUR auction and YOUR choice and YOUR stuff. When you have the goods, buyers will come at you regardless. This isn't a popularity contest, it's a sale, so do whatever you like! If you're not an Atari collector, this isn't your community and our opinion of you shouldn't matter in your business decisions, as long as you aren't criminal about your dealings. PSA from ianoid I would not assume that because someone was not on this website previously that they are not an Atari collector.. I ran the first Lynx booth at the Hartford Atari Show and if anyone remembers Cemetery Ridge BBS you have truly been around for a long time.. alinkens
Is the little sticker still on the back of that Wall-Defender? What does it say? Q.C. Passed N It also still has the little army guy tee-shirt transfer as well as a flyer for other Bomb games.

It's business! There are several outstanding members here that are particularly mercenary, and although they have their detractors, capitalism is part of the collecting realm. It's honorable of you to finish the auction, but ending it early shouldn't be a strike against you, despite the whining.
lemoncurry
It's honorable of you to finish the auction, but ending it early shouldn't be a strike against you, despite the whining. Yes, ethical behavior is honorable. How about that! And, what do you know, you'll get more for your items by being honorable and ethical (and smart!) and letting the auction run! Go figure! Really, the lengths some will go to to rationalize unethical, dishonest behavior... And alinkens, welcome to AtariAge, where all complaining, or even rational discourse against certain behaviors, is labeled whining! Dino
Patience is your friend. QFT And I agree with you on the price. I've seen that lot in various smaller bundles sell for less when you sum them up. You wouldn't even need a lot of patience to get them cheaper. Shouldn't this talk be reserved for when the auction is already over(Especially when this a fellow member posting the auction?)

Omegamatrix
Still it is a sweet lot though. If I had money to blow I'd through some at it. Not sure if its worth what it is, but would be a nice start for the speed collector.

Then again, I am sure the lot is worth $18000.00. lol Ok just checked the guy's posts and they are all to pimp the auction so you have a point on him not really being a member. An Ebay auction is never a "Reality" it is what two people are willing to pay. It all has to do with the top two buyers perception of what it is really worth. Also something can be reality and still be trash talking. For example say I saw a 800 pound person. Would it be OK for me to say something like"Wow, you are a fat disgusting person. How can you handle even looking at yourself. I bet all the kids just laugh and stare at you when you walk by." Now everything I just said to this person was a reality. But whether you believe it or not, it is still trash talking. Fact is that most trash talking is based on the truth.

the 5th ghost
I'd call that a very good deal! If I had the money, I would have gone for this one myself. There were 16 boxed games there I needed.
Zwackery
I'd call that a very good deal! If I had the money, I would have gone for this one myself. There were 16 boxed games there I needed. I've already got Cosmic Swarm w/ manual, so I only need the box, and out of the rest of the 173 other games the only 2 I wanted were SQ:WW and Wall Defender. I really couldn't justify bidding on it just for 2 games, especially with the holiday season here when gift-giving to others, not myself, should take precedence. ianoid
I certainly wouldn't call it a 'good deal' but it certainly wasn't insane or a pathetic deal.
the 5th ghost
I certainly wouldn't call it a 'good deal' but it certainly wasn't insane or a pathetic deal. My assertion is pretty much based on what you would've spent if you had bought each of these games individually on eBay, which I would guestimate at around $2,400+ I'd rather pay the ending price of this auction for all of them.
