New Lynx II Screen's??

My Lynx II screen is pretty scractched up. Do you guys know of a place where I can buy a new one?

 

And how do you remove the screen from the unit?

Apparently Songbird has a few refurbished Lynx screens which they guarentee to be in good condition. You may want to email them and see what they have. I haven't seen anyone selling new Lynx screens anywhere and I have looked for them in the past.

I was able to get mine off once, but I can't remember how I did it. Keep in mind that the "screen" is also the plastic chunk that surrounds the option buttons too. I think I pried it up from either the top of bottom of the unit where it slips underneath the plastic casing.

If they're just surface scratches I've heard plexiglass scratch repair buffer often works well. You can get it at most hardware stores. I've never tried it myself so you might want to just try a little in an inconspicuous place to make sure to don't do more damage than good. My problem is dust under the screen, drives me nuts, but at least I can only see it when the unit is off.
