I cant figure out why this went higher than what the system lots have been going for lately. Granted its a decent lot but I still cant figure out what it is that was building this price and by resellers is what has me really stumped. It doesnt seem like a lot youd make money on (especially with the system being a JR), or much money on I should say, but resellers bid on this higher than they usually do so I must have missed something but I cant figure it out. Anyone know or have an opinion of what drove the price of this auction? Cheers

Actually I think this went on a little on the cheap side.

Here is an Atari 2600 with 85 games that went for $212

http://cgi.ebay.com/ATARI-2600-GAME-SYSTEM...1QQcmdZViewItem

Now here is one that only has 58 games that went for $199

http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-2600-w-58-games_...1QQcmdZViewItem

And yet another one with 58 games that went for $170

http://cgi.ebay.com/ATARI-2600-W-58-games-...1QQcmdZViewItem

Now here is a Junior you think that is supposedly cheap that went with a box and 9 games that sold for $177

http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-ATARI-2600-SYS...1QQcmdZViewItem

Oh, and here is another Atari 2600 system with 50 games that Went for $150

http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-2600-Console-wit...1QQcmdZViewItem

And finally here is yet another system with 42 games that went for more than your expensive price

http://cgi.ebay.com/ATARI-2600-SYSTEM-42-G...1QQcmdZViewItem

The reason why you are not getting the response you desire in this situation is that your perspective on what is expensive seems to be off.

I said it wasnt a bad lot. But there was way too many resellers bidding.

If you wanted the games because you needed them, then its not bad at all.

But resellers dont buy to collect. Atleast not this lot i would think.

And I dont see after shipping where there would be much profit but maybe Im wrong.

Which is why Im askin. If I needed these games. Its not a bad deal.

To resell I think its a matter of a small profit to part out but I could be wrong.

Maybe if a Sixer were in there I would think more of the lot but for every lot you just posted, I can find 3 that didnt get close to that as well.

I dont want to split hairs though so forget about that. Whats the reason resellers were so interested?

Space Invaders Silver? lol

Its sounds funny to me but its a possibility. ah no biggie. Its not a bad lot. I think it could sell for more at certain times or situations but it seems like a waste of time to a reseller and Im just being redundant now LOL. Happy new year. I have to go announce the winner of the Lynx AC. CHeers :)

It's less than $1.30 per cart and that's if you don't include the system, AC, controllers, etc.

Then throw in the fact that there are a good bunch of games that would fetch $5 to $15 on a good day (Snoopy, Star Wars Arcade, Kung Fu Master, He-Man, Tax Avoiders) and all the manuals,

you have yourself a deal.

Especially if you are a re-seller.

How much would you think an 81 game lot + 20 manuals, + a nice lot of controllers + a system would go for?

This seems like a perfectly reasonably price to me.

I said it was reasonable. I really didnt think it was worth reselling.

Im redundant but that point seems lost and its the main one.

I guess I was wrong and yes there were a few $10-15 games so I guess its not that bad but if you get a bad price on the resell of the console, then it was really not worth it I would imagine.

Again, maybe Im wrong and to most of you it appears so but I didnt see this as a good reseller lot.

So Im thinking I was probably wrong. I have been known to be wrong,

one time in '77, I told my Gym Teacher that the Phillies would win the World Series that year.

I was wrong, :P they won it in '80 though :D

~~~~~~~~~Cheers and Happy New Year All~~~~~~~~~
Check out the buyer's Ebay store prices and you'll understand how a profit can be made from this lot. ;)
