Charlie_
Who here has a Masterplay Interface with the extra button on a wire? I have one and use it mostly for 1 button games. On the 2600 stick and the 7800 gamepads, I just can't seem to find a good place to keep that 2nd button. Sometimes in the heat of playing I go to press it and flick it right onto the floor. I did convert a Coleco Gemini joystick with an extra button and that works OK. I use to love that controller. Now, not so much. So, who uses the extra button, and how? mimo
Never had the extra button, so never missed it
jetset
I have one. IIRC it came with a double sided sticker to attach it to the 2600 stick. I don't remember using it much back in the day, I bought it because I had $$ to spend and hd bought everything else. I want to say I had it stuck onto the front of the jostick, below the normal fire button. I'm surprised I still have the thing. Seems like they always get lost. +Cafeman
I have the Masterplay and the button-on-a-wire. I used the sticky "fun tack" stuff , I stick it to the top of a Genesis pad. But sometimes it falls off anyway. That's why I really should get around to ordering one of Albert's Genesis Redemption thingies. Or two. Jess Ragan
Yeah, a Redemption or home-made adapter is really the way to go. If you're good with a soldering iron, you can build one of these for a third of the price you'll pay for a Masterplay on eBay; maybe even less! RangerG
I used velco to keep it on and I put it right next to the other button on the slik stik. I don't mind the button, but having all those cords is a pain.
