I like how he says they marketed it wrong and it could have been a big seller.

 

I guess he never played the thing. Its the worst handheld I've ever played. Its a HUGE letdown. I have a Tiger King Kong tabletop which is bad as well but for a system I expected so much more. LOOKS great on a shelf though.

but unfortunately i was young and stupid. the sound didn't work so i took it apart because i thought i was an electronic genius. i ended up breaking it completely.

 

mine came with super cobra. controls worked fine, but the front "bezel" was missing.

 

i doubt lighting will ever strike twice in the same spot, so i might have to save up a LOT of money for my second one.

I think the majority of people willing to spend 5k on something like this have already done so. Even with a small trickle he can't make up for the fact that the pool of big spenders looking to own one is pretty small. I wouldn't rank this one high on the videogame investment chart for those looking to break even down the road.

Its sounds like he's down to the last one as he is including the empty cardboard shipping box, as a 'bonus' item, in this auction. If he's already sold two cases worth, he's probably saturated the market at this point.

ianoid - - - i don't have the machine anymore. this was about 15 years ago, and i was 11 or 12. i had NO clue how much money that baby was worth.
